I’ve noticed that those of us who are highly sensitive are feeling low on energy, at a standstill, with an underlying attitude of “what’s the point of even trying?”
Things were starting too look up. There was one less lunatic with access to nuclear launch codes. All appeared quiet on the terrorist front. There hadn’t been a new Covid variant for a hot minute. And many of us were even starting to gingerly remove our masks and venture out for some human contact.
We’ve barely had a moment to catch our collective breath when SPOILER ALERT:
007 is dead and a real live Bond villain is out on the loose, killing innocent people and threatening to blow up the world!
As highly sensitive people who are in tune with the collective energy, we not only feel our own anxiety, we feel the fear and suffering of the people of Ukraine and the rest of world.
Suddenly our problems and desires seem pointless, unimportant, even insignificant. We feel overwhelmed and powerless to help. So we crumble, bury ourselves under that heavy collective blanket and freeze.
When you feel like nothing you can do will make any difference you shut down and descend into hopelessness.
But here’s the thing. You giving up on yourself and on life, being depressed and poor does not help anyone. When you feel good. When you are abundant and prosperous. When your cup is overflowing. That is when you are in the best position to be of service to others.
Just like in an airplane, you need to put on your own breathing mask first.
Here are 10 simple things you can do to clear out any energy that does not belong to you, or serve you, and shield yourself:
1. Clear Negative Energy
When you’re feeling overwhelmed, confused, hopeless, anxious or low, close your eyes and breathe in deeply through your nose, releasing it slowly. Find your center and ask yourself: “Is this energy mine?” If the answer is no, then release it and ask that it me replaced with peace, calm and serenity.
2. Breathe
Imagine you are breathing in light and breathing out darkness. Practice this for 5 or more minutes as often as you have time for. This will clear away any trapped heavy energy – whether it’s yours or picked up from the collective – and replace them with positive energy.
3. Purify
Take a shower or a bath and imagine allowing this heavier energy to be flushed out of you. For extra purification, add a few drops of lemon essential oil to the corner of your shower floor or 2 drops to your bath (more may irritate your skin). Lavender is also purifying, but it’s more relaxing than energizing so go with any citrus or even rosemary if you have it.
4. Walk
Go for a brisk walk outside, preferably in nature or at least somewhere you can see plants and trees. This will ground you, clear your head, and uplift your energy. If you’re highly sensitive, you should really do this every day.
5. Flower Remedies
Bach flower remedies can be helpful. I devised a formula last week that worked quite well for this particular situation:
To a glass of water, add two drops each of Olive, Scleranthus, Willow, and Wild Oat flower remedies. Prepare and drink this mixture twice per day until you start feeling better.
6. Protect Yourself
This is another great tool for highly sensitive people. And it’s especially useful if you’re going out in a crowded place.
Close your eyes and imagine you are surrounded by an energy energy shield, a ball of light. This force field only allows positive energy to enter and interact with you. Reapply as needed. Don’t worry if you’re not good at visualizing. Setting the intention is enough and you will get better at seeing your thoughts with practice.
7. Clear Your Space
Clear the energy in your home. As a highly sensitive person, the energy in your home will have a strong effect on you. so try this:
Walk around the (indoor) perimeter of your space while clapping your hands up and down and everywhere. You will hear a difference in spots where energy is stuck, the sound will be more dull. Clap more in these spots until it sounds bright again. It’s quite the workout! 😂
8. Smudging
Another way to clear the energy in your aura and your space is to burn sage, or palo santo, which frankly smells a lot better. You could also burn incense of either of these, as well as Rosemary, Cinnamon, or Sandalwood, which all act to relieve stress and anxiety and enhance positive feelings and energy.
9. Ask For Help
Get help if you feel like you need to call in the big guns. Feel free to book a virtual green tea with me, or if my schedule is too full, message me for my recommendations for healers who work online. These are people I go to when I need help.
Give some of these things a try. I know they will help to revive you physically, mentally and emotionally.
Also please remember you don’t have to do this alone. Things always feel worse when you isolate yourself. And I know we’ve all gotten used to isolation, but don’t hide behind a text message. Call or meet up with people who uplift you! As a highly sensitive person, it is very important that you choose who you spend time with carefully. You want a positive peer group to feel your best.
10. Group Meditation
When we gather together to meditate as a group and pool our energies, our collective power is greater than the sum of its parts.
So I’m kicking off this month’s Bolder Life Circle with a meditation focusing on creating peace and healing for the Ukraine.
After that we are going to Clear Your Abundance & Success Blocks, so you can call in the freedom and the prosperity to help change your life and make a big difference in the world. Money talks!
Click here if you would like to join us this Sunday, March 13 at 11 AM Eastern Time.
*Membership comes with a full money back guarantee, so there is zero risk for you.
